Local businesses recognized for green efforts | The Herald: "BURLINGTON - Green is the new gold, GreenCircle Awards recipients are saying. The state Department of Environmental Protection honored 37 businesses, organizations and individuals for their efforts to protect the environment, at an awards ceremony in Sessions Woods Conservation Education Center. Many business owners said they recognized that taking steps to protect the environment offers financial rewards as well, some of whom have been honored by the state more than once. Among the recipients were ESPN of Bristol, Nevin Christensen of Flamig Farm in West Simsbury, a Farmington company, J.F. Fredericks Tool Co., and Aegis Inc. of Wethersfield."
